Katie Foley has taught second grade at Our Lady of Grace since 2003. Mrs. Foley received her Bachelor's Degree from the College of Saint Benedict and Masters Degree in Catholic School Leadership from Saint Mary's University. Mrs. Foley's favorite part of teaching second grade is the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Foley serves on the Faith team and teaches Wednesday night Faith Formation for the parish. In 2017 Mrs. Foley went on a pilgrimidge to the Holy Land with her OLG teacher friends. Mrs. Foley and her husband Matt dote on thier very old yellow lab, Rubey.
Ms. Kathryn Holtz has been teaching 2nd grade since 2015. She has a degree in Social Welfare from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Ms. Holtz received her K-6 teaching license and M.A. in Teaching from the University of St. Thomas in 2015. She loves diving into the Word of God and falling in love with Jesus with her 2nd graders. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Holtz serves on the Staff Development Committee and the Technology Team. She also serves as a facilitator for Destination Imagination. Ms. Holtz loves the Wisconsin Badgers, spending time on the water, and all things Minnesota!
Georgie Smerud began teaching second grade in 2011. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and received her Masters in Education from the University of St. Thomas. Mrs. Smerud strives to provide a respectful, challenging classroom environment where students demonstrate behaviors and attitudes reflective of Jesus. Miss White serves on the Standards Based Grading Committee and chairs the "Saints for St. Jude" charity drive. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Smerud enjoys yoga, walking/running Lake Harriet, and spending time with her family!
