Admissions Policy Summary
Our Lady of Grace Catholic School, mindful of our mission to be witnesses to the love of Christ for all, admits students of any race, color, national and/or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to the school. OLG does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, age, sex, or disability in administration of their educational policies, scholarship programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.
While OLG does not discriminate against students with special needs, a full range of services may not always be available to them.
Admissions Priority*
Because Our Lady of Grace Catholic School is a Parish school, admissions priority is given to families with children already attending the school who qualify as an Active Parishioner. This includes siblings of OLG graduates. The Our Lady of Grace School Admissions Priority sequence is as follows:
Siblings of currently enrolled students who qualify as Active Parishioners
Siblings of currently enrolled students who do not qualify as Active Parishioners
Applicants without siblings at the school who qualify as Active Parishioners
Applicants without siblings at the school who do not qualify as Active Parishioners
Other Catholic families (not active parishioners or not affiliated with the parish)
All other applicants (non-Catholic, non-parish-affiliated)
*Transfers are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Active Parishioner–School Admissions
Families who actively support the Our Lady of Grace Parish do all of the following:
Are registered members of Our Lady of Grace Parish;
Have committed to actively share in the faith life of the parish by attending Masses on a regular and consistent basis;
Volunteer time and talent in church and school ministries or activities, dedicating reasonable time each academic year to service; and
Financially support the work of the Parish and invest in the Parish through unrestricted traceable Sunday Stewardship giving, generously donating an annual amount that is meaningful to the family.
Why does parish status matter?
Meeting all four of these expectations qualifies a family for:
Priority in school admissions when space is limited,
Reduced tuition rate for grades K-8, called the Parish Investment Rate.
This is a recognition of a family’s ongoing contributions to the Our Lady of Grace parish community.
