Our Lady of Grace Legacy Awards

Father Louis Forrey Legacy Award

Founder pastor of Our Lady of Grace Parish in 1946 and Catholic School in 1949.

Father Louis Forrey’s vision was to build a strong Catholic community of ministry and a K-8 school, all of which began with the founding of Our Lady of Grace Parish in 1946 with 165 families. A 22-acre campus was made available by the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. In honor of our founding pastor, this recognition is presented to individuals who have gone above and beyond to make a significant impact by sharing their time and talent to our OLG Catholic School community.

Sister Catherine McAuley Legacy Award

Founder of the Sisters of Mercy in 1831 in Dublin, Ireland.

In 1949, Our Lady of Grace Catholic School opened with eight rooms, staffed by the Sisters of Mercy, who welcomed 115 students. This recognition is presented to individuals who have demonstrated and committed to our school’s academic excellence with significant impact to our OLG School community.

Saints Legacy Award

The OLG Saints Legacy Award honors special members of the community who have spent a significant portion of their lives in support of the Our Lady of Grace mission. These dedicated individuals have played a vital role in forming the history of our school, have made significant financial gifts, and are stakeholders in the continued success of OLG Catholic School.

Distinguished Alumni Legacy Award

The Distinguished Alumni Award honors alumni who have made a distinct contribution to Our Lady of Grace and made outstanding achievements in their field of profession and serve as positive role models.
