OLG Marathon runs from September 19 – 26, and will focus on: Service to Others. Building Community. Excellence in Education.
The 2025 OLG Marathon theme – 2,000 Acts of Service – encourages OLG students to raise money for our school (through pledges) by completing Acts of Service.
During Marathon week, OLG students will embody the Catholic value of Service – experiencing the joy and mutual benefit of helping others! Our goal is to raise $150,000 and complete 2,000 Acts of Service.
NEW: OLG Marathon of Service Day
To live out our Marathon theme, OLG will host its first-ever Marathon of Service Day. During this all-school service day, each grade will complete a service project that will shine light and bring joy to others in our local community. Projects include:
making fleece blankets for Children’s Hospital and HCMC,
making sandwiches for Sharing and Caring Hands/Mary’s Place
making prayer beads and cards for homebound partitioners
special art project for a local nursing home, and more
Pancake Breakfast - Fuel Up, Support Marathon
Join us for a pancake breakfast, sausage and eggs to support Marathon. New this year: eggs and gluten-friendly pancakes! Avoid the line and get your tickets now. Cash and Checks (made out to OLG PSO) are accepted at the door.

OLG ‘s fundraising mission is to provide an affordable and an exceptional education in a safe, faith-filled, loving environment where every child can grow to their full potential. 100% of funds during Marathon go to support our school operating budget and key initiatives.

What is Marathon? Marathon is an annual Catholic School tradition and OLG’s largest school fundraiser with 100% of donations going to the school.
When is Marathon? Marathon runs from September 19 – 26, 2025. Let’s go for the Gold, in one week, we need to reach our financial goal and complete 2,000 Acts of Service.
What is the Financial Goal? Our financial goal is to raise $150,000 with 100% of funds raised going back to our school. A minimum donation of $175/student helps us reach our goal. Students are encouraged to reach out to grandparents, aunts and uncles, close family friends, to share their personal Acts of Service goal and to ask for a donation to Marathon. The Reality. There is a gap in the cost to educate and paid tuition.
The cost to educate one OLG student totals: $12,500. Tuition and parish support alone do not cover the full cost of educating a student. This is why Marathon is an important fundraiser to help close this gap and ensure key initiatives are funded.
Nearly $4,500 = amount covered by the generosity of the OLG Annual Fund, parish support, and other funding difference
Approx. $8,000 = OLG Tuition/Year (including fees)
