Please join us for the 31st annual OLG Carnival on Friday, April 26th. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. There will be games, food, candy, prizes (lots of prizes), a DJ, and even a special room for parents and alumni to get away and recharge with a chair massage.
Congratulations to OLG graduate, Jim Burke ('72), for taking home the best picture at the 2019 Academy Awards! Jim was a producer on Best Picture winner, Green Book!
The 2019 OLG Men’s Club Gala was a huge success thanks to your support and generosity. The $75,000 Fund the Need goal was exceeded by $15,000 and an additional $110,000 was raised from the community-wide Silent Auction. These funds will allow the Men’s Club to move forward in partnership with the School and Parish on an upgrade of the OLG network infrastructure and to provide new Smart Boards for middle school classrooms and Parish ministry/Faith Formation rooms.
Please join us on February 21st at 6:30pm and hear from Dr. Jules Nolan as she talks about everyday parenting decisions: Our most important job as a parent is to keep our relationships with our children strong and close. Without this kind of a relationship, we lose influence as our children grow up. Parenting choices that we make in stressful moments might deal with the current problem, but what do these same choices mean for the future of our relationships with our kids? This session focuses on everyday parenting decisions that we make and how they may impact our relationships as well as alternative strategies that promote closeness throughout our children's development. We did it! A big thank you to everyone who helped OLG meet its Marathon goal this year! Through marathon donations brought in by students, financial gifts from parishioners during marathon weekend, and proceeds from the pancake breakfast, we collected more than $114,000 that will be used to fund OLG's Groves Reading Program, the Design for Learning Project (new furnishings), and support our technology needs.
All OLG 4th-8th graders are attending the Mass of the Holy Spirit organized by the Catholic School Center of Excellence (CSCOE) at US Bank Stadium. Watch the promo video from the last event, here.
